Fleet Outreach – COB Cookies

Pass Down Pin

This program is an endeavor to find retired Chief of the Boats (COB’s) who are willing to donate their Command Master Chief Device (COB COOKIE) to a new construction boat be it a Virginia Class or Columbia Class boat.  Your “cookie” will be engraved with your personal information and then presented to the COB just prior to the Commissioning Ceremony.  Your “Cookie” will be accompanied by a small plaque that contains your bio.   The plaque will be placed in the goat locker onboard the boat.  This plaque will have a number of signature lines on it so that each successive COB can sign for your “Cookie” as it is passed from COB to COB.  Our hope is that it your “Cookie” will live for the duration of the boat and only be removed at DECOMM and placed in a Submarine Museum.

If you are a retired COB interested in donating your “Cookie” please contact to Donate your “Cookie”.  If you are a COB on a PCU and would like your boat to receive a “Cookie” please contact us at the following email address.                                                                                                                                          Mike Pittman 1usnretmike@gmail.com  or Rick Riessen Rick.Riessen@Gmail.com
