The Gift of Knowledge

Few gifts are greater than the gift of knowledge. It brings strength of spirit, purpose, inner confidence, self-awareness, sensitivity to others’ needs, and humility of mind. Even a small gift can help make this happen for someone.

Purpose of the Scholarship Fund

The United States Submarine Veterans Charitable Foundation, Inc. Scholarship Fund helps bridge the gap between the educational resources available to a Submarine Veteran’s candidate child and what they need to advance their education.

Funding Sources

The Scholarship Fund receives donations from:

  • The Charitable Foundation General Fund
  • Scholarship Endowment Funds
  • Local United States Submarine Veterans Charitable Foundation, Inc. base fundraising campaigns

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must be related to and sponsored by a United States Submarine Veterans Charitable Foundation, Inc. "SS" qualified regular member in good standing. If the sponsor is not "SS" qualified, they must be a current regular member of Submarine Veterans of WWII. Eligible relatives include children, stepchildren, grandchildren, or court-appointed wards of the sponsoring member.

Selection Process

Scholarship awards are decided by the Scholarship Committee, made up of the chairman and elected officials of the Charitable Foundation Board of Directors.
